Amor, I love you more than words can say. You are so special to me. Thank you for your support and love and most of all being my husband. XOXO Tu Esposa

Our son is 11 months old now. WOW! I cannot believe it. I remember when he was still in my belly. He is getting smarter and smarter everyday. He has 8 teeth, he stand up by himself, he moves his way around everything, he gets into EVERYTHING, and he dances. Still smiley as ever! We are so blessed.

Halloween 2009...Our little Chongo...

My work had a fall festival and Stan brought Ezequiel dressed up as a monkey. He made the cutest monkey ever. He did not go trick or treating, but we did go to one house and he grabbed a mini Twix from the neighbors bucket. He tried to eat it but I was not going to let him have it. Until, I was talking with our neighbors and I heard Ezequiel say, "mmmmmmm," I looked down and he had gotten the package open and was eating the Twix. He had it everywhere. It was hilarious, he could not stop saying mmmmmm.

Winter Wear...

We woke up this morning and it was 52 degrees outside. I think the coolness snuck up on us... I had to dig out some pants and socks for our little guy. He is a trooper.

First Pair of Shoes...

Stan and I took Ezequiel to the mall this past Saturday and we got him his first pair of shoes. I will be posting a picture soon. He is getting so big. He can't walk yet but he pulls himself upon toys and gets on his feet like he is going to stand. Silly man! We also took him to the park and played on the swings and I slid down the slide with him. He laughed and smiled the whole time. It was great fun!

Look at all those teeth...

He scrunches is nose and sniffles the air, he is so funny!

9 Months today...

So are little mijo is 9 months old today. He weighs 22lbs and solid. He army crawls everywhere, he picks food up with his little fingers, loves bath time, waves backwards-at himself and says ma-ma. Ezequiel is growing up to be such a loving, caring person. We have a neighbor who has a little girl that is 13 months old and she came over the other day and Ezequiel got a big ol' smile on his face and army crawled as fast as he could to get to her and lifted his head up to her with an open mouth- to give her a kiss. It was so cute. Stan always says that she is his future wife. We'll see :). We are so proud of our little guy. Learning new things everyday and is just one happy kid. WE are truly blessed.
Thank you God for giving us this precious boy to love and care for.

8 Months Old...

Ezequiel turned 8 months old on Monday. He certainly is changing with every breath. He sits up all by himself, he is a grab man, meaning he grabs everything he sees. He scoots around on his belly, hilarious... I told Stan that we need to start baby proofing the house because before we know it he will be following us everywhere. He is more fun with every minute.

Arms Up...

Some of you may know that Ezequiel has been watching this learning video series called, Baby You Can Read, and today we thought it might have paid off. There is this one part on the video that says, "arms up, arms up," then it shows different kids putting there arms up. Well, my mom sends me this picture and in the subject she says, "he did it." I called her immediately and asked if she told Ezequiel to put his arms up and she said no. But this picture is still cute and I think he is still learning internally. He is so smart! We love you Mijo.

Great Facial Expressions, But Still So Cute...

My parents took me and Ezequiel to Native New Yorker last night and Ezequiel looks like such a big boy sitting in a high chair. Of course we went through the whole ritual of giving him a toy then him dropping it and over and over... this happened only a few times until papa and I were tired of picking them up so we gave him the menu. He had just eaten his food but when our food came he was eying mine like he had never eaten before, so I gave him little pieces of curly fry and he munched on it like he had a mouthful and he made humming noises. It was so funny and cute. He is growing up so fast and he is getting so smart. To think he will be 8 months old next week is just crazy.

Poor Mijo Part 2...

Well it came back... the rash... yesterday I came home from the grocery store and I noticed a red mark on Mijo's eye and I asked Stan what happened and he said that he fell over and might have bumped his eye but did not cry or anything. So I let it go and put the groceries away, then I noticed his face turning red all over, like really RED. So I proceeded to change his diaper and his chest was beat red, I thought, I did not give him a strawberry so what the heck. Then I called my mom and asked what I should do because it looked like a huge sun burn all over his body and it was warm to the touch. I also knew it was itchy because mijo was scratching at his chest... poor baby... She advised me to take him to urgent care. I won't drag this on about how we drove to Phoenix Children's or how long we waited so I'll cut to the results. He ended up having a severe case of Eczema... not an allergy from strawberries... The nurse said it could flare up at any moment for no reason at all. She advised me to put Aquaphor and Hydrocortizone cream all over the rash and follow up with the pediatrician. Today he looks great, as though he never had anything wrong with him. Of course... so we are watching him closely and are going to follow up with his pediatritian at his 9 month appointment. We'll keep you posted. Thanks for all your prayers.

Our Precious Gift, Getting So Big...

My How Time Flys...

Yesterday was my sister Shelby's first day of 8th grade, OMG! I thought I was going to have a heart attack when my mom sent me this picture. She is so beautiful and learning everyday what it is to become an adult. She has her struggles but I try and be the best role model I can be for her. I picked her up from school yesterday and asked her how her day was and she stated that it went by so fast, then I thought to myself, yes, time does go by fast. We just celebrated, in memorial, of my brother's 22nd birthday on Friday, August 7th and my how the time flys. I can't even imagine Todd being 22 and my sister 13 1/2 and I am half way to 30...YIKES! It's just another reminder to cherish the ones you love and thank God for all the blessing you have received or have not received.
Shelby, You are the most precious gift that God has ever made. Stay true to YOURSELF and remember that YOU are wonderful with every breath YOU take. YOU are so beautiful inside and out. I know things may be hard for you to understand but, in time you will. Thank you for being my sister and I love you with all your heart. Thank you for being the best Tia too.
Love your big sister, Lacey

Poor Mijo...

So I noticed a rash that Ezequiel was getting on his face and stomache. I took him to the doctor and he said it was a viral rash and it would get worse before it got better so, I gave him a small dose of children's benedryl as the doctor perscribed and then I watched it. He started to get a lot better, the rash was going away. UNTIL, last night I gave him a strawberry to taste and play with, he was making a mess so I decided to take it away. I proceeded to get him ready for bed, a normal bath and baby massage and he went to bed great. At 12:55am he wakes up crying so I thought he wanted a bottle... nope, I thought it was his teeth so I gave him some tylonol... nope, Stan, the great daddy that he is, stayed up with mijo because he knew I had to get up for work at 4a. (I have a point I promise) Stan comes to me and says where is the benedryl cause mijo is itching his chest like crazy and it's starting to bleed a little, I said that you can't give him another medicane because I already gave him the tylonol, so we stayed up with him, walking and bouncing, poor mijo was miserable. Then I texted my mom at 3:15a and asked if it was ok to mix the tylonol that I had already given him and the benedryl and she said yes. So we gave him the small dose of benedryl and he was still cranky and crying. I had to sleep sitting up in bed because everytime I laid down mijo would get restless so then I thought it was his stomache, like a stomache ache. Well, he finally fell asleep in my arms and I got up and got ready for work. I put mijo in the car half asleep and drove to work, when I got to work, I went to the back seat to check on him and his face was swollen and his chest was so raw, I felt horrible, it took everything he had to muster up a small little morning smile. The end result is that I think he is allergic to strawberries, I looked it up and he had the same symptoms as you would with a strawberry allergy. POOR MIJO, he is doing better now but I felt horrible. No more strawberries...

7 Months Old...

So I was looking at this picture that my mom sent me of Ezequiel and I couldn't believe how big he was. He is 7 months old and I feel like I just had him yesterday. I look at his hair and it looks blonder then before and growing more and more of daddy's features everyday. Such a happy kid! We love and adore him so much. Thank you God for giving us this wonderful gift.

Stan and Sleepy Mijo...

So Stan has been home all week because his nephew, Fernando, is in town and he is also watching Ezequiel. Ezequiel has been teething a lot lately and it causes him to be a little grumpy, and we all know that Zeke is not a grumpy baby unless something is really bothering him. So I got home last night and Stan looked exhausted, he had food on his shoulder along with it looked like some boogies and I asked him how his day was and he said, "man, Mijo has not taken a nap all day, he has been fussy and doesn't want to eat anything. Also when I finally got mijo to sleep, Vago barked and I almost beat him" So then I thought to myself, mmmm, now he knows that when I tell him to be quiet because the baby is trying to take a nap and Stan says mijo likes noise and it turns into a debate.... I usually win and this time he now knows that mijo likes it quiet when he naps. Just for future reference... LOL!

Te amo mucho amor! xoxo

3 Musketeers Experience...

So my mom decided to let him try some of her candy bar, a 3 Musketeers, you can only imagine what he did, LOVE IT OF COURSE! He are the photos to prove it. It almost looks like he just took a huge bite out of it but my mom did not let him. She ended up just giving him a little tiny piece and the last picture is priceless.

Sweet Boy!

Teeth...

Ezequiel has gotten his first teeth. We discovered one at Nana's house on July 14, 2009. It's on the bottom and then daddy discovered the other one on July 15, 2009 right next to it. They have not fully come through but they are sticking out. So cute... He also rolls and rolls but, only to the right, according to his nana, who spends Monday through Friday with him, and takes such great care of our little guy. He has been a little fussy but overall he is still such a happy happy boy.

We love you Mijo...

New at this...

So I have decided to start a family blog... Not sure if I have the hang of it yet but I will get it eventually. I always see other families that have blogs and they tell stories about there kids and what's been going on in there life, I really like it, so that's why I am starting one. I hope you enjoy all the new updates that I will be posting and of course the pictures of how our family is growing day to day.
