Poor Mijo...
So I noticed a rash that Ezequiel was getting on his face and stomache. I took him to the doctor and he said it was a viral rash and it would get worse before it got better so, I gave him a small dose of children's benedryl as the doctor perscribed and then I watched it. He started to get a lot better, the rash was going away. UNTIL, last night I gave him a strawberry to taste and play with, he was making a mess so I decided to take it away. I proceeded to get him ready for bed, a normal bath and baby massage and he went to bed great. At 12:55am he wakes up crying so I thought he wanted a bottle... nope, I thought it was his teeth so I gave him some tylonol... nope, Stan, the great daddy that he is, stayed up with mijo because he knew I had to get up for work at 4a. (I have a point I promise) Stan comes to me and says where is the benedryl cause mijo is itching his chest like crazy and it's starting to bleed a little, I said that you can't give him another medicane because I already gave him the tylonol, so we stayed up with him, walking and bouncing, poor mijo was miserable. Then I texted my mom at 3:15a and asked if it was ok to mix the tylonol that I had already given him and the benedryl and she said yes. So we gave him the small dose of benedryl and he was still cranky and crying. I had to sleep sitting up in bed because everytime I laid down mijo would get restless so then I thought it was his stomache, like a stomache ache. Well, he finally fell asleep in my arms and I got up and got ready for work. I put mijo in the car half asleep and drove to work, when I got to work, I went to the back seat to check on him and his face was swollen and his chest was so raw, I felt horrible, it took everything he had to muster up a small little morning smile. The end result is that I think he is allergic to strawberries, I looked it up and he had the same symptoms as you would with a strawberry allergy. POOR MIJO, he is doing better now but I felt horrible. No more strawberries...
